GREENWOOD, IN – Today, Congressman Jefferson Shreve released the following statement on the severe flooding affecting communities across Indiana:

“My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the severe storms and flooding across Indiana. Over the past three days, communities across our state — including several in the 6th District — have been hit hard.

I’m grateful to the first responders, emergency crews, and local and state officials working around the clock to keep people safe and begin assessing the damage.

Greenwood, IN – Congressman Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) announced today that his constituent services team will hold mobile office hours to assist Hoosiers on Wednesday, August 12th in Fortville.

During these events, constituents can meet directly with members of Congressman Shreve’s staff to help resolve issues with federal agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and Social Security Administration (SSA).

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) today introduced a resolution expressing support for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, the first INDYCAR race ever held in the nation’s capital. Scheduled for Aug. 21-23, 2026, the event will bring one of Indiana’s signature traditions to Washington as part of America's 250th anniversary.

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) announced today that all 17 of his Community Project Funding requests have advanced through the House Appropriations Committee, totaling more than $45 million for Indiana’s Sixth Congressional District.

The projects support public safety, military readiness, clean drinking water, wastewater infrastructure, roads, workforce development, and first responders across south central and eastern Indiana. Final funding must still pass the full House and Senate and be signed into law.

RICHMOND, IN — Congressman Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) hosted a veterans roundtable at Richmond City Hall to hear directly from Wayne County veterans about access to care, VA services, and the Richmond VA Clinic.

Wayne County is home to more than 4,000 veterans. The discussion focused on how local veterans use the VA system, where it is working, and where Congress can help improve service and access.
