Two Shreve Measures Included in Passage of the NDAA

September 11, 2025

Washington, DC — Congressman Jefferson Shreve announced that measures he authored were included in yesterday’s passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2026.

Mr. Shreve voted to pass the NDAA through the U.S. House. It authorizes the budget and expenditures for the Department of Defense.

This NDAA ensures our military readiness. It prioritizes made-in-America military equipment. And it delivers upon our commitments to our military personnel and their families.

Summaries of Congressman Shreve's measures in the NDAA:

  • Develops a strategy to counter Iran’s and Hezbollah’s malign influence in Latin America, which pose a threat to regional stability in our Western Hemisphere.
  • Safeguards the physical and cyber security of our air, rail, and maritime infrastructure by requiring a comprehensive review of our potential vulnerabilities.

Summaries of other measures in the NDAA that advance a Peace Through Strength Agenda:

  • Fully funds and provides additional authorities to secure our southern border.
  • Increases funding for innovative new technologies needed to deter China.
  • Expands our defense industrial base to deliver stronger U.S. supply chains.
  • Prohibits DoD from allowing Chinese-controlled entities to operate businesses on U.S. military installations.
  • Authorizes renovations to military hospitals and funds new medical facilities.
  • Saves taxpayers over $20 billion by cutting inefficient defense programs, federal bureaucracy, and DEI-related programs.
  • Provides a 3.8% pay increase for all service members.

Rep. Shreve said, "I'm grateful to have my two important measures included in our defense budget. The NDAA supports our military personnel. It enhances our national defense. It's my Congressional responsibility to ensure that our nation is provided with the resources to bolster our defenses against foreign and domestic threats — and in a fiscally responsible manner. This bill delivers on those core responsibilities."
