Shreve’s Measures Included in NDAA To Be Signed Into Law
December 10, 2025
Washington, DC — Congressman Jefferson Shreve (R-IN) announced that measures he authored were included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2026, which cleared the House, sending it to the U.S. Senate, and will be signed into law.
Rep. Shreve voted in favor of the NDAA, which authorizes the budget and programs for the U.S. Department of Defense for FY2026. This year’s bill strengthens U.S. military readiness, secures made-in-America equipment, reduces dependence on China, and supports service members and their families.
Congressman Shreve’s measures included in the NDAA:
- Protects the cybersecurity of America’s air, rail, and maritime systems by disincentivizing adversaries targeting critical infrastructure.
- Requires a report on joint U.S.–Mexico efforts to counter transnational criminal organizations.
- Authorizes the transfer of confiscated Iranian weapons to U.S. partners to bolster allied defenses.
Other Shreve priorities advanced in the NDAA:
- Includes the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2025, strengthening border security, drug-interdiction efforts, and maritime safety.
- Increases basic and retired pay for service members.
- Expands investment in emerging technologies needed to deter the Chinese Communist Party.
- Authorizes renovations of military hospitals and new medical facilities.
- Saves taxpayers over $20 billion by cutting inefficient programs, federal bureaucracy, and DEI-related initiatives.
Mr. Shreve said, “The NDAA supports our courageous service members and reinforces our national defense. As your federal representative, my job is to ensure our nation has the tools to guard against foreign and domestic threats while being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars. The measures I authored strengthen our readiness and improve the safety of our citizens. This bill delivers meaningful results for our military and our national security.”
