Congressman Shreve Invites Local High School Students to Participate in the America 250 Congressional Art Competition
As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, America 250 is offered as a suggested theme. Students may submit artwork on any theme.
Each year, Members of the House select one student winner from their district. The winning artwork is displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
The submission deadline is Monday, April 6. Artwork must be delivered to Congressman Shreve’s Greenwood District Office by close of business that day.
Congressman Shreve said, “For more than 40 years, the Congressional Art Competition has given young Hoosiers a chance to share their creativity with the country. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, this year’s competition is a strong opportunity for students in Indiana’s Sixth District to reflect on our history, our values, and the future they will help shape.”
Students must submit their artwork with a completed competition release form. Guidelines and forms are available on Congressman Shreve’s website. Constituents with questions may call the Greenwood District Office at (317) 399-3333.
