Congressman Shreve Delivers On Conservative Promise In The First Weeks Of The New Congress

January 15, 2025

Washington, D.C. —  In the early weeks of the 119th Congress, U.S. Congressman Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) is delivering on his promise to promote a conservative legislative agenda for Indiana's 6th district. Two weeks into his term, Representative Shreve has sponsored legislation that secures our southern border, protects Americans' Second Amendment rights, supports the right to life, and lowers our energy costs.

Mr. Shreve said, "I came to Congress to get things done. I've had the opportunity to work with my Republican colleagues to deliver on our promises to begin to get our nation back on track. We will put the American people first. I'm eager to deliver on my commitment to the people of Indiana. I’ll push a conservative legislative agenda that represents the values of our 6th district.

Congressman Shreve cosponsors the following legislation:

  • Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. This bill cracks down on criminal illegal migrants. It will deport migrants who have committed sexual assault, sexual offenses and domestic violence.
  • The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. This bill allows citizens with state-issued concealed carry licenses or permits to conceal carry across state lines and in other states, protecting their constitutional rights no matter the state.
  • Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2025. This bill defunds Planned Parenthood. It reallocates federal funds for Planned Parenthood to community health centers that do not perform abortions, to ensure innocent life is protected.
  • Restoring Executive Authority for Offshore Energy Leasing Act. This bill would lower energy prices by repealing President Biden's ban on offshore drilling, establishing US energy independence, and increasing oil and gas production in the US.
